Osaka Named the World's Most Popular Tourist City for 2025! Ready to Add It to Your Wishlist?

LintasDunia - Osaka, Japan, was named the world's most attractive tourist destination this year by Yanolja Research, a global research institute focused on the travel and tourism sector.

This recognition was obtained through the Yanolja Attractiveness Index, which evaluates the level of attractiveness of 191 international tourist cities.

The assessment was conducted by analyzing data from social media and tourist reviews in 14 languages, to measure public perception—both positive and negative—of each destination.

According to VNExpress, Osaka has successfully attracted international tourists due to its combination of dynamic urban culture, well-preserved historical heritage, and extraordinary culinary richness.

Known as the “kitchen of Japan,” the city is famous for its signature dishes like takoyaki and okonomiyaki, and is a favorite destination for street food enthusiasts.

Additionally, Osaka offers tourists a dynamic atmosphere, friendly locals, and famous shopping areas such as Shinsaibashi and Namba.

Other impressive attractions include the historic Osaka Castle and the Dotonbori entertainment district filled with neon lights and street performances.

Osaka's position is further strengthened by hosting the upcoming World Expo 2025, which also enhances the city's reputation in the eyes of the world.

Meanwhile, Paris came in second on the list, followed by Kyoto, also from Japan. New York and Seoul came in fourth and fifth, respectively.
